This tribal necklace in blue and yellow gives an old ethnic Tunesian centrepiece a fresh modern look. The Hamsa or Main de Fatma pendant was bought in Tunesia in the 1970s which caught my eye due to its skilled craftmanship and silverwork and is well-loved as a protective amulet. The small silver dangles are authentic old silver beads from Morocco. The necklace is completed with old Venetian glassbeads and Bohemian glassbeads – both used in the African beadtrade. Lobster-claw clasp. 45cm.
